Our Vision
Prototype for the Planet brings together creative minds to address urgent sustainability challenges. We believe that meaningful innovation happens in environments where everyone feels respected, included, and empowered to contribute. This Code of Conduct establishes the foundation for our collaborative community.
Community Guidelines
We expect all participants to contribute to a positive atmosphere by:
Treating others with respect and kindness
Listening actively to diverse perspectives
Communicating constructively, even during disagreement
Being mindful of shared spaces and resources
Speaking up when witnessing concerning behavior
Behavior that undermines our community values will not be tolerated, including harassment, discrimination, unwelcome contact, or deliberate intimidation. Participants asked to stop inappropriate behavior are expected to comply immediately. Organizers reserve the right to remove participants who violate these guidelines.
AI Usage Policy
Artificial Intelligence tools are powerful new additions to the workflow of UX practitioners. However, AI currently uses as much energy as a small country and could potentially accelerate the effects of climate change. For Prototype for the Planet, participants must refrain from using artificial intelligence tools for concept development, design creation, or solution implementation. This restriction includes generative design software, AI-based coding tools, and large language models for core solution development. Please reach out to the team if you have any further questions or concerns.
Reporting Concerns
If you experience or witness behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, please promptly contact a member of our organizing team. Reports can be made in person to staff members or by email at prototypefortheplanet@gmail.com. All reports will be handled confidentially and with care.
Acknowledgement
By participating in Prototype for the Planet, you commit to upholding these community standards as we work together toward a more sustainable future.
